Overview
Measured helps users understand difficult messages and prepare safer replies. The app is designed to keep the core experience local-first where possible.
Measured is communication coaching support. It is not therapy, legal advice, medical advice, mental-health treatment, emergency support, or crisis support.
Data Measured Handles
Depending on how you use the app, Measured may handle message drafts, generated reply options, coaching guidance, saved local history, preferred replies, relationship briefs, account information, hosted AI usage, and subscription status connected to App Store purchases.
Local-First Analysis
Measured's local analysis runs on your device. Local drafts, local history, local feedback, local learning memory, and local WhatsApp import digests stay on your device unless you choose a feature that sends data to Measured's backend.
You can delete local device data from Settings.
WhatsApp Imports
Measured supports manual import of text-only WhatsApp exports. Measured does not connect to WhatsApp directly and does not read your WhatsApp account.
Before opening the file picker, Measured asks for explicit permission to read the export you choose. When you import a supported text export, Measured processes the text locally and creates a compact relationship brief. The selected export is not uploaded, and the full raw chat is not stored.
The compact digest may include participant names, message counts, first and last message dates, detected communication signals, strategic summaries, and selected short excerpts used to explain the pattern.
Voice notes, images, videos, stickers, and other media files are not analyzed in this release.
Hosted Coaching
Hosted deep coaching is an optional paid enhancement. It is only used when the app is configured for hosted AI, you are signed in, your account has an active entitlement, and you have remaining usage for the current period.
Before the first hosted coaching request sends message data to Measured's backend, the app asks for confirmation. A hosted request may include the message, selected goal, optional context, selected relationship brief, and approved memory cases needed to produce coaching.
Before paid provider calls are approved, hosted provider calls remain disabled and the app falls back to local analysis.
Accounts, Subscriptions, And Deletion
If you create or use a Measured account, Measured may store account-scoped data such as an authenticated user identifier, hosted usage counters, paid-plan entitlement rows, synced AI feedback, and approved cloud memory derived from feedback.
Approved cloud memory sync is user-initiated and may include message excerpts, selected replies, goals, relationship context, risk labels, and coaching notes from cases you approved.
Measured subscriptions are managed through Apple. Deleting your Measured account does not cancel App Store billing.
Safety
Measured may generate safety-oriented guidance when a message appears to involve threats, coercion, stalking, fear, or immediate danger. This guidance is not emergency support. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services, crisis resources, or trusted support in your area.
